ABOUT RADCLIFFE MALE VOICE CHOIR
Formed in 1921 in the busy industrial town of Radcliffe, about nine miles north of Manchester, the choir has seen mixed fortunes since then and now is re-assessing and testing itself under a new Musical Director after 54 years under our previous musical director, Keith Heywood. Sadly, Keith stepped down to address a family illness at a time when the choir was at its zenith.
Our new Musical Director, Catherine Hilton, our previous concert accompanist, has not only maintained the high standard Keith set for this superb choir but is taking it onward and upward towards our centenary in 2021 and in so doing is stamping her own mark indelibly upon it.
There’s a lot to look forward to and in the meanwhile a lot to enjoy as we continue with the current concert programme.
Take the journey with us — enjoy our music; either as chorister or listener!
